MEET MAGGIE

Margaret Wright (Maggie) has more than 30 years of experience in marketing.  She specializes in Brand positioning and building.

During the late 1980’s she established Wright Marketing Blueprint® to help clients create and build businesses by more deeply understanding consumers’ behavior rules and motivations.

Prior to Wright Marketing Blueprint®, Maggie worked for many big brand packaged goods marketing companies in brand management and new products.  She has worked for large corporations, such as Sara Lee Corporation, American Home Products and Foremost McKesson, Inc.  She managed many household brands, such as Gulden's Mustard, Jiffy Pop Popcorn, and Chef Boyardee Pizza.  She oversaw the initial testing and introduction of the "squeeze bottle" for Guldens, and she initiated the original testing of microwave popcorn for Jiffy Pop.

Much of Maggie's corporate packaged goods career had been spent in the very "psychological" snack food business.  She worked for Sara Lee Corporation in the Popsicle Division where she was responsible for developing the division’s new products program, including developing the mission charter, directing consumer research, identifying new product concepts and providing strategic direction for the division’s established brands.  One of her major achievements was the testing and introduction of Oreo® Cookies N’ Cream Ice Cream.  She test-marketed and introduced the Oreo Cookies N' Cream Ice Cream brand nationally, which was a joint venture between Sara Lee Corporation and Nabisco Brands.  It resulted in $140 Million first year sales and was recognized as one of the largest new product entries of the 1980s.

Margaret Wright (Maggie) holds an MBA from the Babcock School at Wake Forest University and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is listed in: Who’s Who in Finance and Industry; World Who’s Who; Who’s Who of American Women; and Who’s Who in America.
